As my husband and I were boating today we slowly crept out of the channel from the Sound which was a dark turquoise color into the open sea which was the deepest shade of royal blue I have ever seen. I noticed how absorbing these colors had a very calming effect on me. With excitement my husband pointed out some tiny flying fish. Soon we were surrounded by these tiny blue creatures that looked like little fairies dancing on the water. I have to say the experience was quite ethereal.
