We’ve all heard of the movie, ‘Practical Magic’, but this series from Author Chris Weigand brings to mind a phrase I would deem, ‘Useful Magic’.
Her Palace of the Twelve Pillars and its consecutive books are a Christian fantasy read that are suitable for middle grades on up. This is a wonderful family read!
I must mention that Chris is also a huge supporter of Literacy with her generous donation to my reading program for struggling readers. Since I work in a private Christian school, her novels have been a perfect fit. A supplemental comprehension sheet for students accompanies the series and is a great tool for educators!
Author Weigand has created the kind of tales that will be enjoyed by many for years to come and heralded as ‘Timeless Tales’.
So yes, this lady surely does inspire me in so many ways.
With that being said, let me introduce Chris Weigand~
And a Bit About Lady Chris Weigand~
Christina Weigand’s a writer, wife, and mother of three grown children and a middle school daughter. She is also Nana to three granddaughters. She lives with her husband and youngest daughter in Pennsylvania, returning there after a short sabbatical in Washington. Currently, she’s working on fantasy novels and inspirational writing. Through her writing, she strives to share the Word of God and help people young and old to realize the love and mercy He has for everyone.
When she’s not writing, she’s active in her local Church as a lector, Bible Study, or with the church theater group, volunteering at her daughter’s school helping the children develop a love for reading and writing. Jesus fills her home with love as she shares Him through her writing.
